Born out of the Farmers Weekly publishing business, Proagrica is a hugely innovative, global provider of agricultural data and technology solutions. Over the last five years, the business has grown significantly through acquisition and innovation, and now provides a suite of tools enabling the entire food chain to optimise production, benefit from transparency and maximise value.
As a team, we really enjoy our work in agriculture and the food chain. This collection of projects, which took place continuously over several years, focused on identifying opportunities for Proagrica in farming specifically. We conducted in-depth research, identifying disconnects and operational inefficiencies for which Proagrica could develop solutions. Iteratively built, insights fed into the product development decision-making process, allowing Proagrica to manage investments in internal innovation as well as to scan the market for relevant acquisitions.
"A real focus of our work in the agricultural sector in recent years has been to explore new markets up and down the food supply chain. In order to do that and develop meaningful products and services that address tangible customer problems and requirements we have had to develop a really deep understanding of new markets, job roles, workflows and processes. OKO have been invaluable to us throughout this process, really taking the time to understand our business and strategic goals and delivering insights that are actionable both from a strategic and commercial stand point. Their level of understanding and awareness of our goals has been second to none and we very much see OKO as an extension of our own team."
